Power Line Technician

A Power Line Technician (PLT) is a person who installs, constructs, alters, repairs, maintains, tests, services and operates related overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems.

PLT’s work with high and low voltage

PLT’s work outside in a variety of climates, including storms in order to repair power outages.

Power Line Technician is a nationally recognized trade under the Inter-Provincial Red Seal Program.
